From the director
First of all, let me send a belated Happy Mother's Day to all mothers.
We have much to celebrate at the ADIA!
Our spring symposium, in conjunction with Temple University, was a huge success. Let me extend a shout out to Dr. Louis D'Angelo, who brought 70 team members for the ADIA certification programs and a heartfelt thanks to Paige for coordinating it all.
The ADIA would like to welcome our new Fellow, Vicki Mendoza. Vicki is a surgical assistant and implant coordinator in Austin, Texas. She is knowledgeable and passionate about implant dentistry, and we look forward to hearing more from her at upcoming symposia. Congratulations, Vicki! You can read an article that she has written in this edition of DAD.
Our other author this month is Kimberly Pajak. Personal thanks go to her for being such a great help during our Philadelphia symposia. Kimberly is going to coordinate the area of our publications that is dedicated to answering the questions you send via the Contact Us section of our Web site at www.adiaonline.org . Submit those questions and we'll publish the answers.
Congratulations to Linda Meeuwenberg, RDH, MA. She is a recipient of ADHA's annual session Hygiene Hero awards. She will receive a grant for the charity of her choice and will be granted admission and accommodations to the ADHA annual session.
One important acknowledgement and celebration goes to the ADIA's newly appointed communications manager, Teresa Duncan. Teresa has worked closely with the ADIA for more than two years. In addition to being a Fellow and certified educator, Teresa actively maintained the ADIA's official blog. Her role will help expand the reach and communication of ADIA members and the awareness of our association. Thanks for your help, Teresa. We look forward to learning more with you.
